The Nepomuceno Home for Children had its beginning in 1963 when Arnold and Carol Boich from the Peoria AC church went down to Brazil.  It was the first children's home established by the Apostolic Christian Church Nazarene in the country of Brazil. Hope Foundation for the Protection of Children was the name under the Presbyterian Church in Nepomuceno and the leadership of the John Veiga family in prior years.  It was the Veiga family who after a few years of operation sought out help from the Apostolic Christian Church to direct and support the work in Nepomuceno. The farm land of 55 acres plus two building were turned over to the American churches with only one stipulation, that the ministry with children continue. The ministry continues today under the leadership of the AC Nazarene Churches in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The US churches continue to provide support to this fruitful ministry underneath the umbrella of the ACCF Missionary Committee. Arnold and Carol Boich continue to play an important role in this support.

Many children have come and gone through the long years of ministry. Within those years there have been the good and bad times. However, God, through His grace and mercy has not forsaken the many children who have sought help during distressing times.

Today, there are 33 children living at the Nepomuceno Home for Children. We are thankful for all the workers who have dedicated themselves to ministry of providing hope to children who otherwise would not have the opportunity for a better life today and in the future.
