Who We Are PDF Print E-mail

We are a North American Short Term Missionary Sending Agency that works in conjunction with the Apostolic Christian Church Foundation Missionary Committee.

ASAP Goals

To bridge the gap from North America to obstacles encountered in mission work; to assist, encourage, support our missionaries in service for the Lord.

Policies and Procedures for Projects

  1. All official projects undertaken by ASAP are initiated by the overseeing  missionary of that specific mission field.
  2. Plans are sent to ASAP including drawing, lists of materials and cost estimates.
  3. The number of people required and size of multiple teams are determined.
  4. Plans and requests are submitted to the AC Missionary Committee.
  5. The project is promoted.
  6. Funds are sent to the ASAP account at ACCF, any unused funds raised are placed in the ASAP general fund upon project completion.

Policies and Procedures for Personnel

  1. Interested people will contact ASAP in regard to a project promotion or interest on their own.
  2. An ASAP application is mailed out to them.
  3. Upon receiving a completed application, a phone call is made to determine the type of assistance necessary and to clarify the initial questions of the applicant or ASAP. After contact is made, e-mail, fax, phone or postal communications are used.
  4. The applicant is sent out an ASAP Mission Packet which is required reading.
  5. A mission field is contacted which has been picked by the applicant and ASAP to be the most suitable, most in need or most able to accommodate the applicant at the time.
  6. ASAP then will assist in one or all of the following areas depending on the applicants need: booking flights, fund raising, visa applications, contact with missions, communication with their local church and family.
  7. The applicant is encouraged to raise their own support but where this is not possible the ASAP general fund takes over (no applicant has ever stayed home due to lack of funds).
  8. The applicant is required (although we have no way of enforcing this) to send ASAP a report of their experience. This information is used in various ways to promote and encourage growth in interest of others in going on a short term trip.
